**Plus I found in some more of my books that because of his family background first son generation of Sicily immigrants, father Mario Lorenzo, & mother Louisa Castiglione he was Named Francis Castiglione later change to Frank Castle as his family moved to America to get a way or escape the pressure of the Bessucho organinzed crime family).
Alias or Nickname: The Punisher, the quitless killing machine, The Ultimate Payback warrior, Mr. Smith, Charles Fort, Frank Rook, Johnny Tower, numerous others.
Height:6'1
Weight:200lbs
Hair: Black
Eyes: Blue
Physical discription: (What he/she looks like. A picture will be fine.)
Distinguishing Features: Various and numerous scars around the face and on his body, Do to all the knives and guns fight over the years
Clothes: Punisher's first outfit was a form-fitting black Kevlar bodysuit with a large white skull on his chest. According to the character, this draws the attention and the aim of the criminals to his heavily armored body, instead of his more vulnerable head. Each tooth of the skull is actually spare ammunition for firearms. Castle has used this costume on occasion in mid-2000s stories outside of the Marvel MAX imprint.
The Marvel MAX Punisher chooses not to utilize any costume outside of a black shirt with a white skull splashed across the front. His other clothing, which has included combat boots, blazers, leather jackets, trench coats, bulletproof vests, body armor, battle dress uniforms and camoflauge cloaks has been for the sake of protection or camoflauge in urban and wilderness areas.
Powers/Abilities
The Punisher possesses the normal human strength of a 6'1" 200-pound man, who engages in rigorous regular physical exercise. Frank engages in a brutal regimen of calisthenics, katas and firing range practice daily, maintaining his combat skills.
The Punisher is a seasoned combat veteran of exceptional skills. A former U.S. Marine Captain with a distinguished combat record, Castle underwent sniper(his second tour in Vietnam was served as a sniper, as implied in "In the Beginning") and recon training while in the Corps. He also received SEAL (Sea, Air, Land), UDT (Underwater Demolition Team), LRRP (Long Range Recon Patrol) training and airborne training with Army special forces. It has also been revealed in both the Marvel Knights and MAX imprints of The Punisher that Frank Castle did receive training, skills and expertise from the Australian Army's Special Air Service Regiment when he was on exchange with Australian military forces operating in South Vietnam during the Vietnam War (It is also noted that while Castle was on exchange with the Australian SAS in Vietnam, he met Yorkie Mitchell, a British SAS soldier who was on exchange with the Australians at the same time. Mitchell would later become an agent for the British intelligence agency, MI6 and he would cross paths and work with Castle on a number of occasions during the Marvel Knights and MAX runs of The Punisher).
Frank is well-versed in the arts of warfare and hand-to-hand combat. His styles of choice being Nash Ryu Jiu Jutsu (the four-style martial art founded by Sensei Adam Nash, the Punisher's mentor), Ninjutsu, Shorin-Ryu, Hwarangdo, Chin Na, MCMAP (Marine Corps Martial Arts Program) or the Marine Corps LINE combat system, Tai Chi, as well as unarmed combat training received in the military. He is an exceptional knife fighter who carries up to 3 or 4 different types of edged weapons, preferring the knife he learned to fight with in the USMC: the Ka-bar(in the movie he killed Harry Heck with a ballistic knife.)
Armed solely with conventional weapons and motivated by a fanatical hatred for criminals like those who murdered his family, the Punisher has single-handedly incapacitated up to a dozen well-armed and experienced opponents in a single encounter and escaped almost uninjured. It is his military training and his attention to detail that allows him to achieve this. He is an exceptional marksman who is sometimes depicted as being ambidextrous in this respect. The Punisher Armory series illustrates some of his thinking and training.
:
Weapons:
The Punisher's Arsenal:
The Punisher has employed an almost endless array of conventional firearms, such as machine guns, rifles, shotguns, handguns, knives, explosives and other weapons. Castle keeps all his weapons and supplies in warehouses and safe houses all over New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and elsewhere. He employs this exhaustive arsenal of weaponry in his war against criminals and organized crime on a regular basis and with considerable effect.
The Punisher often customizes his weapons for greater effectiveness with both standard and custom items such as magnified optics, reflex sights, night vision scopes, flashlights, grenade launchers, sound and flash suppressors, bipods, high-capacity magazines and drums, and ammunition types such as, but not limited to, hollow point or armor piercing bullets.
As of the Marvel MAX printing of The Punisher, Castle prefers the use of a shotgun for close quarter encounters and an M-60 for large amounts of targets in most situations. When performing reconnaissance work, he employs a high-powered sniper rifle. Traditionally, under the Tim Bradstreet covers, Frank Castle has usually been outfitted with an M-16A2 rifle, an Uzi sub-machine gun, a Heckler & Koch HK33 rifle, two Desert Eagle handguns, an L1A1 SLR and different varieties of handguns.
Throughout the Punisher's crusade against criminals, he had occasionally used a number of high-tech transportation. During his early series, he used battle vans specially built and customized by his then-partner, Microchip. The common denominator among them was heavily armored, loaded with high-powered ammunitions with advanced telecommunication capabilities. He basically used his vans for criminal surveillance and weapons transportation. He has also used motorcycles, helicopters, speed boats, or whatever he can find and use. In the Marvel MAX Punisher series, Castle resorts to basic equipment to track down his targets, and drove a black Hummer H2 SUV. While in the Ultimate Timeline : His cop training is used to hunt down Targets but the guns are the same..
History: Long before he became the Punisher, Frank Castle acquired his training , battle instincts & code of Justice as a highly de decorated soldier in the U.S. military. Castle served four tours of duty in South east Asia and earned more than half dozen commendations. It was during this time that Castle encountered several people who would later resurfaces as both allies and enemies during his career as the Punisher.
Castle found trouble early when he discovered his Sergeant, Mikta, was encouraging soldiers to desert, leaving them to die in turn.. Castle killed Mikta who is perhaps his earliest criminal victim. He was betrayed by a superior a second time when he fell under the command of Sgt. Cleve Gorman whose manipulation in furthering his illicit drug operations resulted in death of most of his platoon. Gorman survived the war unscathed, but later met justice at the hands of the Punisher, Castle also fought alongside One Roger Wong, A friend From boot Camp: Some years later the punisher would recruit him as a weapon supplier.
Castle was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and became a top Sniper, assigned to take down, an emery Shooter named or dubbed the Monkey. He would later adopted the enemy's symbol of a stark white skull as the Punisher 'S trademark symbol . During an ambush, Castle's Life was saved by LTV. Burt Kenyon, a debt that would be remembered when the Punisher faced Kenyon as the Hit man.
During his 2nd tour , Lt Castle led the Third Marine Company , which include Rich Von Burian, under the command of col. Ray Schoonover, Unknown to castle , Schoonover, was a drug smuggler, and the company suffered casualties while protecting a supply train. Later Von Burian became Schoonover enforcer, and clashed with the Punisher as the sniper.
Castle next became involved in the Special forces, where he distinguished himself in undercover operations along side the sadistic De Sade, the mysterious Spook and the infantryman Ice Phillips. Castle's taste for war steadily grew enhancing his reputation for deadliness.
Now Captain Castle served his third tour as fire base, valley forge were he led Platoon of Twenty Ninth of marines in an increasingly hopeless atmosphere, Here- at this neglected, isolated outpost. Castle was at his most ruthless a loner with storing come pt for authority. In the face of a massive enemy offensive, he emerged against all odds as the sole survivor of valley forge. Perhaps it was the heat of this battle that the Punisher was born.
Castle earned Green Beret status in his fourth tour as rescued Several POWs from the so called Death Doctor, a mission that earned castle the congressional medal of honor. While returning to America. Castle remain active as a military trainer which earned him a Presidential medal of Freedom. While on the way to receive the medal his family was killed. In the wake of the tragedy, Castle abandoned the military and went AWOL and he was labeled a deserter. Warfare, like the loss of his family, has left a mark on him that will never fade... Well since then the Punisher has been the soul of a different NYC in the max time line and in books 1- 6 . It was the death of his long time friend Chip, and 7- 14 I think he cleans up New York City from ever more families and then in book 20 through to 25 and 26 he deals with a group called the Slayers, and that was fun, and in 30 to 39 this other family had sent this big ass Black guy and for 4 books it is nothing but fighting and Frank even used an axe and chop the black guys' finger's off and Castle had also kick the crap of the guy gold and yellow teeth wear the black guys' teeth only say " f**k U"
I am not lying it is in the book of the max time line while in book 40.
I honestly don't see Frank ever succumbing to any kind of torture. While even the hardest of the hard men have their breaking points I've always seen Frank as something else. Not superhuman by any means but unlike people he's interrogated, taking eyes and hanging vital organs from trees, somehow that just wouldn't work on The Punisher in my opinion. It's not so much being 'tough', that would be the wrong word...it's more like pure power of will alone, and we all know Frank has will power in spades.
In regards to Rawlins I wouldn't be surprised or disappointed if he survived this arc as well. Rawlins is sneaky, selfish and intelligent which makes him a survivor. He seems to be the kind of guy, perhaps he and Frank have this in common, that is constantly looking for an opportunity. Not the type to sit tied to a chair and think "If this happens I can do something in a few minutes"...more like "I could do this right now, or this, or this" and constantly observing.
The most memorable moment for me of issue 40 though was the last panel, Frank with his hands up. Does he have a plan? Probably, he had a 9km walk through rocky mountains to come up with something and there's so sign of O'Brien...perhaps she's been sent to fetch Yorkie? That won't look good when all his men see her, especially asking a favour.
I digress...Frank with his hands up was quite a shocker but it still showed that like your Superman’s and Spider-man's of the world Frank is still willing to sacrifice himself for the innocent people. I wouldn't have been surprised if under Ennis' reign Frank simply dismissed the village as casualties of war or something like that, but he was more noble which as a reader is exactly what I wanted to see. ( My foot notes on the book)
While back in the Marvel Time Line, Frank had a six book battle with Daredevil (again) and he had fight to Bull eyes in a 5 part series. Since then in DD 85 or 84 in part 3 of the Jail story D block the Punisher went to jail again, and he was cell mates with Matt Murdock and guess who else was in the same block the Kingpin and Bulleye, and the two had to team up to stop a riot, and now the Punisher never gets a day off yet because he is facing the essentials and he is getting ready for CW Civil War and yes he shall be on Captain America's Side because in the "Files of Civil war" Iron man has labeled Castle as bad news, and Marvel has him in a 3 part wJ War journal volume 2 I think it will cover what happen in /after Civil war, and that is my so far, However, During the Civil War event He was part of the Secret Avengers (Captain America's last team before he died.)
In recent events, Castle, Spider-Man, Silver Sable, and Scarlet Witch tried to fight off a break-in at city hall by Venom and Raven Hex. The battle escalated when Lady Death and her henchman, Evil Ernie, joined in the fighting. When Purgatory, accompanied by a few mind-controled servents and Hell's army, intervined, the heroes were forced in to a hasty retreat, provided by a spell from Scarlet Witch. However, Castle was accedentally flung in to the Endless Graveyard, were was fought Evil Ernie alone and lost the fight, as well as his life.
Once again alone he has been Take up the Title of "Captain America" Until a replace can be found for The Late Steve Rogers ,By wearing latest costume, an amalgam of Captain America's and his own, has the same weaponry as his original costume, though the overall suit has the same characteristics
of a typical/stereotypical superhero costume.
